Global AIDS Rainbow supports established projects in South Africa that work with people living with HIV and AIDS. This is achieved through proceeds generated from the sales of our awareness-raising resources in the UK and Europe.
Any resources that you purchase from our range of materials means a contribution to projects that are radically changing the lives of people who live with HIV and AIDS in the worst affected country in the world.
GAR has worked closely with The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund since 2005 and will continue this support throughout 2008.
The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund provides assistance to organisations implementing programmes and projects that empower children from impoverished backgrounds. It was set up in 1994 by Nelson Mandela as a direct response to the misery and hopelessness that poverty had inflicted on South Africa’s children.
HIV and AIDS have had a major impact on the lives of many of these children and young people in South Africa. In recognising this The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund has focussed much of its attention on the value of the family and community systems.
For the last decade they have assisted organisations to implement programmes and projects that have made a real difference to the lives of so many young people.
"The Nelson Mandela Children's Fund strives to change the way society treats children and youth. Your support for this cause is much needed."
